There was a problem determining the version of Java installed.

Issuing the command, 'java -version' resulted in:

Hello,

I have the same problem. And I have tested java and it works fine. But if I try to run java from a terminal I get this error related lines and all I wanted after that. So matlab gets java version, but can't recognize it, because of those error lines. wacko.gif

Anyone with the solution?

I have the same error. I'm running Mac OS 10.5.5 with all the updates as of this post date using EFiX. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Same problem here. Any solutions?
Is it because the latest Java update is for 64 bits only and I am using 32 bits machine?

I have a different problem.

I can install and run Matlab R2008B on iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 fine, but it crashes with a bus error as soon as I try to do a simple matrix multiplication.

I have tried this both with Java and without. I have the latest X11 Xquartz installed (on top of the X11 that came installed with iDeneb), not that it matters for the matrix multiplication.
