Full Version: Using Transmission on Hackintosh and uToerrent on WinXP. How to make them work together?

Hi there, I have a question for anyone who is good with using Torrent SW.

I have Transmission on the Hackintosh and uTorrent on Win XP. I'm using Macdrive on XP, and I have the download folder set on the Hack hard disk. If I load the same .torrent file on both software, and obviously point them to the right download folder, they recognize the already downloaded stuff. Up to this point, everything is ok. But there is one problem. Let's say that I download 500 MB with uTorrent, and then boot Leopard and open Transmission. The SW does the check of the already downloaded part (yellow bar) and then starts to download again. If I do the opposite though, uTorrent doesn't update the status of the downloaded part and simply starts from where it left. Is there a way to fix it? I don't want to load the .torrent every time, and I switch often from one Os to the other, therefore I'd like this thing to work.

Besides, even if I load the torrents back from skratch, the two apps show different sizes for the downloaded part. Do you think I should use the same client on both platforms?

Bye
LoLL

I don't know what darwine is. I'll give it a look. Thanks
